We anticipate that the WOCN Accreditation Committee will complete the program review in the fall of 2021. After receiving accreditation, graduates of the Relias Wound Care program will be eligible to take the wound care certification examination offered by the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) to earn the CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse) credential.

What Does Our Wound Care Nurse Education Program Look Like?

We recognize that individuals learn differently. Our program combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles to create a highly engaging and interactive program. Students use the learning platform to interact with faculty and other learners, access online resources, and reinforce learning through the exam preparation tools such as flashcards, quizzes, case studies, and the activity game center.

The program will take you 3 months to complete. Included are 5 consecutive live online days, 40 hours of clinical simulations, and pre and post-online self-paced course work.

Clinical Simulation
Virtual clinical simulation hours are completed over 4 weeks. Students will attend 8 virtual online evening classes that are 4-hours in length. Students will apply what they have learned in the program through competency-based education. Case studies and videos will be reviewed, and students will demonstrate mastery of concepts through presentations and discussions.
